Workshop Policies & Who can teach???
Our service will be extended into the classroom on occasion. We will offer classes on a calendar schedule that will posted monthly.
You are not required to teach classes but if you wish to offer a class, you can submit this request to JAHE for approval. If it is a religiously affiliated class and we are using a local church, we will ask the permission of the Pastor of the HOSTING Church and then ask that you post your personal beliefs, the church you regularly attend and what doctrine you will be teaching. If the class is approved, you will be given a time slot during a scheduled teaching period. If your class is rejected by the host church, you will receive a notice of exactly why.
You can offer religiously affiliated classes that are not approved by JAHE and hosting church on the webpage through your own church and are always welcome to post those on the JAHE loop. Others may ask you questions but they can email you personally about the class. This is part of letting the community know of opportunities. For example, if your church is hosting a Marriage Seminar, just post the church name, date, time, etc. Families may be looking for exactly what your church is offering.
If you don’t have a faith and don’t wish to teach or participate in faith based classes to your children, then don’t sign up and hope that they will change the class to meet your beliefs or non beliefs. Attend events/classes that meet your family beliefs. We are not here to promote one faith over another.
Class limits will be set and enrollment will be first come first serve.
Children that are a part of a home educated family are offered the slots first. Also, you must have turned in your INTENT TO HOMESCHOOL FORM to the appropriate school district.
We do not wish to become a mom’s day out or babysitters but an enrichment opportunity for parents striving to uniquely educate your children. Visitors are welcome as your guest and you are responsible for them. Please advise us ahead of time so we can make sure that the teacher has enough room for the guest or can contact you about supplies your guest may need. Again we are not a mom’s day out or vacation BibleSchool.
Also in an effort to promote Home Education, we ask that you abide by the laws of Arkansas and provide your local school district with your intent to homeschool form. You may be asked to provide that as proof that you are in compliance.
